About

Dr. Elzawahry received his Medical Degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. For thirty years he has run a private practice in Panama City, Florida, but before that he spent time working at Rutgers University Hospital in New Jersey, and was a resident Neurologist at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia and at the University Hospital West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica.

Dr. Elzawahry has served as the President of the Florida Society of Neurology as well as President of the local American Heart Association Board. In 2007, the American Academy of Neurology honored Dr. Elzawahry’s with the first Patient Advocate of the Year award for his establishment of the Bay Cares Program, which offers free medical care to low income patients in Bay County, Florida. Dr. Elzawahry and his associates established the program under the belief that all patients deserve the same level of quality care regardless of their income.
