Marco Medina, M.D.


Dr. Medina received his Medical Degree from the National Autonomous University Of Honduras, Tegucigalpa before graduating from the National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery in Mexico City.


About

For twelve years, Dr. Medina has been a Professor of Neurology at the National Autonomous University of Honduras, where he founded and directs the school’s Neurology Training Program. He is the Vice President of the International League Against Epilepsy and is the President of the Salvador Moncada Foundation for Development of Science.

Dr. Medina has acted as an editor for the Honduran Neuroscience Magazine, the International Stroke Journal, and Acta Neurologica Colombiana, as well as the Spanish language editions of Stroke and Epilepsy Journals. He is also a. Medina is a member of the World Federation of Neurology, the International League against Epilepsy, and the World Stroke Foundation.

Dr. Medina has been published in hundreds of book chapters, articles, medical journals, and other publications. His work has been focused primarily on epilepsy, as well as stroke and the neurological effects of malnutrition.
