Theodore Munsat, M.D.


Dr. Theodore “Ted” Munsat is Professor of Neurology Emeritus at Tufts University and Senior Neurologist at New England Medical Center.


About

Dr. Munsat received his Medical Degree from the University of Vermont. From 1961-1963, Dr. Munsat served in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant Commander in the Medical Corps and a Staff Neurologist at the Great Lakes United States Naval Hospital. Following his military service, Dr. Munsat became an assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of California Los Angeles, where he was the Director of the Myasthenia Gravis Clinic. After working in numerous settings on the West Coast, Dr. Munsat moved back East, where he is now a Professor of Neurology Emeritus at Tufts University as well as a Senior Neurologist at New England Medical Center.

Dr. Munsat has been honored with numerous awards, including the American Academy of Neurology’s A.B. Baker Award for Education in 1997 and a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005 from the World Federation of Neurology Research Group on Neuromuscular Diseases.
